Located In Agra, India in 1632, the white marble Taj Mahal was built for the favorite late wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It was built over a 20 year period on the Southern bank of the Yamuna River. This breath-taking fixture houses a domed central tomb, the mindsets & white marble mausoleum. It took 20,000 artisans in its development and a thousand elephants transported the heavy building materials. Every year, the Taj Mahal receives about 8 million visitors.

Elephant Festival

Celebrated in Jaipur City, the Elephant Festival is held on the day of the Holi Festival. Elephants are groomed and clothes with colorful rugs, parasols, ornaments, such as jewelry and anklets. Some activities include elephant Polo, a race and tug of war.

Kinari Bazaar in Agra, India

The Kinari Bazaar has a reputation for selling the finest jewelry in Agra and a great place for bridal shopping. You’ll find clothing, shoes, fabric, jewelry, spices, marble work and snacks. Also, buffaloes and elephants squeeze through the huge crowds as well.

Indian Classical Dance

Known as Shastriya Nritya, an umbrella term of various performance arts. Dances range from 8 or more styles. These dances are Regional. They include music and recitation of local language or Sanskrit. The dances represent unity of core ideas with diversity of styles, costumes and expressions.
